Keegan's Big Day

Keegan attended her first day of preschool today! She loved it, couldn't wait to get there, can't wait to go back. As she said, "This was the best day ever!" Now, I hope I can just get her to stop sleeping with her backpack soon...!

You make me so proud to be your mommy, Keegan. I can stare at this picture of you all day--you wear your happiness so well!!

Regina's New "Big Girl" Bed!

Regina is now sleeping in her big girl bed. Ryan took the crib front down last night--she was so excited to be able to get in and out of her bed on her own, and Keegan was happy to have her sister join the ranks of "big girl" with her. She made it through the night without any problems, and even stayed in her bed this morning when she woke up and was waiting in the same corner she always does until I come in and get her out. They are both napping as I compose this; I didn't hear any funny business coming from their room, so I am going to call this transition out as a big SUCCESS!!! Way to go Regina!

We've Been Busy

It has been a VERY long time since I've posted--things have been a bit over the top for us. Lots to report though, so I will try to break down the major events in separate posts.

Below are a few shots from early June when we went to the 57th Street Art Fair in Hyde Park. Keegan is very focused on our wedding and with every church we pass, she always asks, "Is this the church you got married at"? So, we decided to introduce the girls to Rockefeller Chapel.

Keegan Turns 3 Years Old!

Today we celebrated Keegan's 3rd birthday. We are such lucky parents to have this wonderful girl in our life, and the fun has only just begun!

The happiest birthday girl! The birthday crown is a tradition we started last year!

Keegan woke up to a new bunny critter dollhouse!

Keegan and Regina went to their humane education class at The Anti-Cruelty Society.

We continued our celebration with lunch at The Rainforest Cafe.

Had a small party at our house with a special cake and presents!

Happy Birthday to Mommy's BFF! Duggan Girl Power!!!

Coming Full Circle

We are getting ready to put our house up for sale. Our final project just wrapped up this weekend, and it is so ironic to me that it was where we all began! When we first moved in back in 2004, the bathroom was one of the first remodeling projects we tackled. Six years later, it is time to give things in the bathroom a little sprucing up again, so below is a snap shot of Ryan with his little helpers!

Hurry Home Maddie!

It's official! Our adoption paperwork is logged-in, and we are eagerly awaiting our baby girl from China! With the way things are going right now, it's going to be a LONG time until she's home, but we are always keeping our fingers crossed that things will speed up. One of the benefits of this long wait is that it gives us some time to really prepare for her arrival, although since this is something Ryan and I have been talking about for a while, it seems like we have already been waiting for so long. At any rate, this next year's focus will be getting ourselves into a bigger house--we have very quickly grown out of our current home. Two dogs, two kids, two parents and 700 square feet is getting tight!

Merry Merry!

Merry Christmas 2010! We started off this holiday season at the Magnificent Mile Lights Parade. It was C-R-O-W-D-E-D beyond words. Once the parade actually started, we lasted about 30 minutes, gave up and went back to our hotel room for dinner. Keegan and Regina had fun at our hotel, and shopping downtown.

Christmas celebrations were very fun too! Keegan and Regina received so many wonderful presents--we are still trying to get them all opened and played with!
