Regina's New "Big Girl" Bed!

Regina is now sleeping in her big girl bed. Ryan took the crib front down last night--she was so excited to be able to get in and out of her bed on her own, and Keegan was happy to have her sister join the ranks of "big girl" with her. She made it through the night without any problems, and even stayed in her bed this morning when she woke up and was waiting in the same corner she always does until I come in and get her out. They are both napping as I compose this; I didn't hear any funny business coming from their room, so I am going to call this transition out as a big SUCCESS!!! Way to go Regina!

This Just In....

REGINA SPEAKS!!!

Nana Jacqui just called me at work to tell us the good news, Regina said "Thank You" this morning and used the phrase in the correct context! My mom was handing her a sippy cup, and Regina replied, "Thank you", then proceeded to repeat the phrase a few times in response to my mom's voice!!!

She has been doing the typical "da-da-da-da", "ma-ma-ma-ma", "pa-pa-pa-pa", and "ba-ba-ba-ba", so this "Thank you" is a completely out of the blue!!

Stay tuned, because she is progressing so quickly I am convinced mastering calculus will be next!!!

3/10/10 Update: I was just feeding Regina dinner, and she said it to me a few times! It's officially part of her vocab now. Way to go Reggie Roo!

Happy Baptism Regina

On Sunday, Regina was baptized at St. Tarcissus Church by Father McCarthy.  We had great weather that day, and a fun party following the ceremony!  As you can see from some of the pictures, Regina was really pooped out from all the activity of the day.

She may look small...

But she's not!  Regina turned one month old last Friday, and at her doctor's appointment yesterday, she weighed in at a whopping 10# 4oz!  She also gained an inch in length.  Puts her in the 75th percentile.  

She has matured so much in this past month, each day I notice changes in her.  She is sleeping well at night for us, and she is a very content baby during the day.  She is starting to hold up her head more often and with a lot more control now.  And, the best part of all, she is starting to smile and laugh in response to our silly antics!

Ryan and I are so blessed to have hit the jackpot two times in a row with wonderful girls. Hmmm...wonder if we should press our luck for a third time?!?!?!?!

Introducing Regina Domenica

Here she is, right on time.  

Born 05/05/09 at 3:57AM

Weighing in at a whopping 7lbs, 6.8oz, and measuring 20 inches in length

She and Mommy are doing just swimmingly.

Keegan will be by this afternoon to meet her lil' sis so we'll update after that.
